Like many companies, there’s also insider ownership in the company.

In 1856, Thomas Burberry founded Burberry at the age of 21. The founder designed “Garbadine,” a Tielocken coat that became one of the most wanted pieces in 1879. As of 1965, one in five coats exported from Britain was a Burberry product. In 2016 Burberry became the first brand to make its design collections available for purchase immediately after its launch show.
